What you get

Know what's valid. See what needs renewing.

Every certificate date in one place, with anything due in the next 90 days flagged before it runs out.

Explore opportunities across the maritime industry.

Superyacht, cruise, merchant and shore-based jobs from one profile — no starting over for each move.

Choose who can see your identity and documents.

Employers see your professional profile under a reference code. Your name, contact details and files open only when a hire is confirmed on the platform.

Understand why a role fits—and what's missing.

Each job shows which requirements your profile meets, which it doesn't and which haven't been checked yet — before you apply.

Compare candidates with clearer evidence.

Employers see how far each certificate has been checked, side by side, without names or contact details.

How it works

One profile,
one point of consent.

Three steps, each opened by the one before it. No unsolicited messages and no disclosure without your consent.

  1. 01

    Build your profile once

Your positions, sea time and certificates with their dates, saved step by step. Stop at any point and continue when you are back in signal range.

  2. 02

Appear in the pool with your identity hidden

Employers see a reference code and your professional profile — role, sea time, certificates and availability — never your name or contact details. You can also block a specific company: from then on that account cannot see you in the pool or on its jobs. Blocking works forward, not backward — it does not reach applications, messages or CVs that company already has.

  3. 03

Decide which employers see your file

Only an employer you have applied to, or whose contact request you accepted, sees your full work history and certificates. Your name and contact details follow only after a confirmed hire.

Why seafarers pay nothing

No fees or other charges for recruitment or placement shall be borne, directly or indirectly, by the seafarer.
MLC 2006 — Standard A1.4, paragraph 5(b)

Tracking and oversight

Certificates, fit and access,
tracked in one place.

Certificate expiry

Every certificate you record has its expiry date tracked. Anything due within 90 days is marked amber, anything expired red. Medical certificates are tracked for your own reminders only: no employer sees the type, the expiry date or the file at any level — an employer you are engaged with sees a single badge: a valid certificate is on file, and whether it falls due within 90 days.

Fit, explained in four layers

Every job is checked in separate layers, and the answer is a sentence rather than a number. A missing mandatory requirement is always listed on its own, so a strong fit never hides it.

Live data · activity measured over the last 30 days

  • Your identity stays yours

Employers see your professional profile under a reference code. Your name, phone number and contact details reach an employer only after a hire is confirmed on the platform — hidden details never leave the server.

  • Know where you stand before you apply

Every job shows what your profile meets, what is missing and what hasn't been checked yet. A missing mandatory document is always listed on its own. Medical certificates never enter an employer's view of your fit.

  • Renew before it costs you a contract

Anything due within 90 days is flagged amber and anything expired red, with a reminder in your dashboard — so a lapsed certificate does not surprise you at the next joining date.

  • Only conversations you started

Messages open only through your application or a contact request you accepted, always about a specific job. No unsolicited messages; withdraw and the conversation closes.

  • Checks that say what they cover

Every check names what SeaTalent looked at and when: a company's registration and authorised contact, an uploaded file, a reviewer's comparison, a confirmation from the issuing authority, a call to a referee. Until a company is checked, its jobs are not published and it sees the candidate pool at the identity-hidden level (L0) only.

  • Never pay to find work

No membership, no priority listing, no paid applications. MLC 2006 prohibits charging seafarers for recruitment or placement.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The questions seafarers and employers ask most.

Is there a fee for seafarers?

No. Building a profile, recording certificates, applying to jobs and messaging employers are free for seafarers. MLC 2006 and Turkish Law No. 4904 prohibit charging seafarers for recruitment or placement.

Can my current employer see my profile?

Your name and contact details stay hidden until you choose to share them, and vessel names are shown only to employers you have applied to or whose invitation you accepted. You can also block a specific company: from then on that account cannot see you in the pool or on its jobs. Blocking works forward, not backward — it does not reach applications, messages or CVs that company already has, and it applies to that account, not to any new one the same company opens. We do not claim you are untraceable — in a small sector a detailed profile can narrow you down, which is why you control what is shared and when.

When do my name and phone number become visible?

Only after a hire is confirmed on the platform by both you and the employer. Applying to a job or accepting a contact request opens your work history and certificates to that one employer, not your identity.

Who can see my CV?

An employer you have applied to, or whose contact request you accepted, receives an anonymised SeaTalent CV generated by the platform under your reference code. Files you upload stay with you, and the full SeaTalent CV with your name is shared only after a confirmed hire. Withdrawing consent stops further sharing from that moment on; it cannot pull back a CV that has already been downloaded.

How does SeaTalent check employers, documents and references?

Every check says what was looked at and when — never just "verified". Employer verified: SeaTalent checked the company's registration and an authorised contact; it says nothing about any candidate. Document uploaded: a file is on the profile; nobody has checked its content. Document reviewed: a SeaTalent reviewer compared the file with the details the seafarer entered; it does not confirm the record with the issuing authority. Issuer verified: a reviewer confirmed the certificate with the issuing authority by hand, and the date and method are shown. Reference checked: a reviewer spoke to the referee and recorded the outcome; employers only ever see a confirmed check. Checks on certificates and references happen only when the seafarer asks, they are free, and medical certificates are never reviewed or shown to employers. An AI reading a document is not a verification: no automated reading ever appears as a check.

What happens when a certificate expires?

Your dashboard shows a warning 90 days before the expiry date. An expired mandatory certificate lowers your fit score for a job, and the colour coding shows which document needs attention.

Which sectors are covered?

Superyacht, cruise, merchant shipping and shore-based roles. Charter, gulet and day-boat work sits within the superyacht sector. One profile covers every one of them.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes. You can withdraw your consent and delete your account from your account settings at any time. Access, correction and deletion requests under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) are handled through a separate channel.
