Service

SeaTalent is an employment platform connecting seafarers with maritime employers. The platform does not guarantee placement and is not a party to any employment contract between users.

Regulatory status

SeaTalent does not hold an İŞKUR Private Employment Agency (ÖİB) permit. Naming a regulation on this site means the product is built to follow it; it never means the platform has been approved under it. Every registration and permit the platform needs, and the status of each one, is listed on the Registrations and permissions page.

Seafarers never pay

Under MLC 2006 and Turkish Law No. 4904, no fee, commission or membership charge is collected from seafarers seeking work. This rule is compiled into the software as a constant.

Account obligations

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide; misrepresenting certificates or positions may lead to suspension.
  • Your account is personal; do not share your credentials.

Listing rules and moderation

Employer listings pass moderation before publication. Discriminatory, misleading or unlawful listings are rejected. Nationality, gender and similar fields are never offered as search filters at any level.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. The platform reserves the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

The platform does not guarantee the accuracy of user statements; employer verification is limited to reviewing submitted documents. (Scope of limitation to be confirmed by counsel.)
